How to Receive a Package

Step-by-step guide for staff to log incoming packages

How to Receive a Package

This guide walks you through the process of logging an incoming package into the system.

This feature requires Staff or Admin permissions.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • Access to the Staff Dashboard
  • Permission to manage packages
  • Package details (tracking number, recipient name)

Steps

From the Staff Dashboard, click on the Packages tab in the main navigation.

Click "Receive Package"

In the top-right corner, click the Receive Package button to open the package intake form.

Enter Package Details

Fill in the required information:

  • Recipient Name - Start typing to search tenants
  • Tracking Number (optional) - Enter carrier tracking number
  • Carrier - Select from dropdown (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
  • Package Type - Select package size/type
  • Notes (optional) - Any special instructions

Click the barcode icon next to the tracking number field to use your device camera to scan the package barcode.

Review and Submit

Review the package information and click Log Package to save.

The tenant will automatically receive a notification (if notifications are enabled).

What Happens Next

After logging the package:

  1. Package appears in the tenant's package list
  2. Tenant receives notification (email/SMS based on preferences)
  3. Package status is tracked in the system
  4. Staff can update status when package is picked up
